Addressing the recent buzz, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni quickly set the record straight, stating that it was blown out of proportion. And clarifying that her daughter, Samara, did not push her grandmother, Neetu Kapoor. The internet personality and entrepreneur finally responded to media reports surrounding her teenage daughter, which emerged after a video from a family wedding went viral.

The incident unfolded during the wedding of Riddhima’s cousin, actor Aadar Jain, and entrepreneur Alekha Advani in Mumbai. In the viral video, Riddhima, Samara, and Neetu walked the red carpet together. In one moment from the clip, Samara seemed to gesture away from her grandmother, prompting speculation that she was upset and had pushed Neetu aside.

Riddhima, who recently appeared on the reality series Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, quickly clarified. As reported by HT City, she said, “The whole thing got blown out of proportion. My daughter was just trying to pose. She wasn’t upset at all; she was so excited that in the car she kept saying, ‘Oh my God, I’m sure there are going to be photographers, and I’m going to pose like this and that.’ She just wanted to take pictures on her own because the paparazzi asked us to come together.”

Sahni added, “She didn’t push her nani.” Samara herself expressed confusion over the online claims. She remarked,“When did I push her? I was just trying to pose. I was extending my arm to get comfortable. I wasn’t pushing anyone.”

When Samara became too playful at the airport

Riddhima noted that Samara is becoming increasingly aware of her public image. She has voiced a desire not to let paparazzi dictate her behaviour. Reflecting on a past incident where Samara’s playful behaviour at the airport drew criticism, Riddhima recalled her daughter’s frustration: “The last time I was being goofy, they had a problem, and now when I’m not doing anything, they still have a problem!”

She emphasized, “Kids today are more aware of these things. They have so much exposure. My mother and I talk to Samara every single day about the pros and cons to ensure it doesn’t affect her.”
